well yeah I can see the reasoning behind it. Like you say, it's no risk. I just think it's superfluous.

Day 3

Now that the vote is locked in for tonight I'm gonna paste some feedback I gave thescruple in PMs way back at the start of day 2. I didn't want to mention it today because I had reservations about the Alky bandwagon and it's not my job to play for you, but giving you feedback on possible mistakes seems legit to me.
Emphasis on the bolded parts.
I'd add that as a network you really should try to put yourself in the uninformed vanillager's shoes to understand where they are coming from. It may be obvious to you that a seered or special player is good, but is it to the villager? Take a look at that networked member's posts in the main thread and see if you yourself wouldn't find that the player is acting a bit unusual. Networked people and specials often seem suspicious for the same reasons mafia seem suspicious, namely that they are trying to avoid notice and seem to be working with other players to vote someone out.
Also, there are generally only two kinds of people when it comes to giving feedback to the network on suspicious targets: villagers with genuine suspicions and mafia trying to get hints as to who is in the network. The latter can be solved by just not giving any feedback on suggestions (you can even tell people who PM you that!) Don't let your paranoia rule you and convince yourself that some player is trying to con you into killing innocent targets: mafia have ample kills to do that for them.[/color]

That's why I tried to step out a bit tonight with my quasi-defense of Alkey. I've been playing this game a bit reliant on the fact that people will remember how bad of a job I did at leading the votes as a vanillager in the Loxley Phalla (even though I ultimately managed to win thanks to the network taking control and then leaving me the info I needed before they died), but I intended all along to "slip up" a bit as the game went on and become more outspoken. I can only hope it's worked.

What I'm trying to say is that you guys seem to have made similar mistakes in mistakenly bandwagoning INANTP and Alkey, and you might want to reflect on how things went down both times if it turns out I'm right on Alkey's innocence

I guess I was more suspicious of alkey not because he came out against slym, but because he was adamant about the argument after I said taht he had accused her in the network. As a normal villager, that makes sense to me, as long as the head is alive.

Ah, I made some comments about people not knowing information you know because I thought that he had accused a confirmed network member and that was part of the suspicion on him. I guess I was wrong about that?
Campaigning vocally to get someone voted out is rarely a "mafia trait". Some mafia can pull it off, but they're usually still rather cautious about it because they are forced to vote out people they know are villagers whenever they are making a serious effort, since heaven forbid they campaign to vote out a fellow mafia and actually succeed. Plus if they fail it casts any players they failed to bandwagon in a more innocent light...if it seems like the mafia was seriously trying to get them voted out.
(basically see my post on non-village behavior on how anything the mafia does can be used against them when they die and consider how most people will act when playing aware of that)
